The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. About Ian Herriott
My art is inspired, and strongly influenced by, the work of the Irish illuminators who created the spectacular art in the "Book of Kells" and other manuscripts. While I strive to re-create the look and feel of those earlier works, I allow myself to explore subject matter which was foreign to those artists. The combination of old and new continues to hold my interest. I enjoy the process of experimentation and creation, and I hope that you enjoy the results.
